The Shocking Reason You’re Not Sleeping (And It Has Nothing to Do With Caffeine) 😴 💤

Hello my friends,

Have you ever tossed and turned all night, unable to drift into the peace of sleep—despite being exhausted?

You’re not alone.

Someone once said,

“A lot of people struggle with sleep because sleep requires peace.”

And wow… I felt that.

Sleep isn’t just about closing your eyes—it’s about closing the door on the noise of the day, the stress of the past, and the worries of tomorrow.

It requires a stillness that many of us haven’t made peace with. In a world where constant stimulation is the norm, silence feels awkward. Rest feels unproductive. Stillness can feel like discomfort.

But here’s the truth:
You cannot truly rest if your soul is restless.

Are you carrying:

  • Unspoken fears?
  • Guilt you’ve never addressed?
  • A heart that’s been heavy for too long?

Your body may be lying down, but your spirit is standing guard.

So what can you do?

  1. Create a nightly ritual of release – journal, pray, or speak peace over your heart.
  2. Set boundaries with media – no doomscrolling before bed.
  3. Forgive. Let go. Sometimes peace comes not from gaining something, but by letting something go.
  4. Speak this aloud before sleep:
“I choose peace. I welcome stillness. My mind is calm. My heart is safe. I am allowed to rest.”

God didn’t design sleep to be a battle. He designed it to be a blessing. A sacred pause between who you were and who you’re becoming.

Tonight, don’t just go to Sleep.  Go to Peace.
